PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advantageous method for continuously producing cyclododecatriene (CDT) catalytically in the presence of a nickel- or titanium- contg. catalytic system while involving the distilled separation of crude CDT and catalyst feedback. SOLUTION: This method for producing CDT from 1,3-butadiene catalytically in the presence of a nickel- or titanium-contg. catalytic system comprises the following practice: 1,3-butadiene is converted in a different system free from solvent in the presence of cyclooctadiene and/or cyclododecatriene, and after distilled separation of the resultant crude CDT, 50-100% equivalent of the catalytic system is put to feedback.
