PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device that can adjust a range of changing part (AC component) of image data, that is, can emphasize the AC component through the setting of an output condition. SOLUTION: An image processing unit can optimally utilize an input range of A/D conversion by using an amplification factor adjustment device 8 amplifying an analog signal outputted from a pixel array section 1. The image processing unit is also provided with an output condition arithmetic section 7 that calculates an amplification factor, an origin of an analog signal output and an offset as output conditions to emphasize the AC component of the analog signal, an output value origin adjustment device 9 that sets an origin of the analog signal output and an offset adjustment device 10 that sets the offset.
