PURPOSE: Disclosed is a seedling planting apparatus for a rice transplanter, capable of dividing a seedling placement stand at rational positions and reducing the dimension of the seedling placement stand in the width direction by an easy operation. CONSTITUTION: A seedling placement stand(22) is set on one movable end. After a separable seedling placement stand is separated from a main seedling placement stand, the seedling placement stand is moved in the separation direction. Consequently the edge part of one end of an auxiliary arm having the other end connected to the opposite side of the seedling placement face of the separable seedling placement stand is connected to a frame of a seedling planting apparatus(A). The separable seedling placement stand can be guided to a housing part at the seedling placement face side of the main seedling placement stand by the rocking of the auxiliary arm.
