PURPOSE: To obtain a microphone system with a simple structure where a lead wire to detect the displacement of a vibration membrane is not required. CONSTITUTION: The microphone system 1 is provided with an electromagnetic wave transmitter-receiver 4 that emits an electromagnetic wave whose frequency is 1012 Hz or below to a vibration membrane 2, which is vibrated by receiving a sound wave 3 from one face and reflecting the means wave from the other face, and that receives the electromagnetic wave reflected from the vibrating membrane 2 and a vibrating membrane signal measurement device 5 measures a frequency (the number of pulses) of a vibrating membrane displacement signal outputted from the electromagnetic wave transmitter-receiver 4. The displacement of the vibrating membrane 2 is converted into an electric signal by measuring the frequency and the amplitude of the reflected wave from the vibrating membrane 2.
