PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost required for manufacturing a magnet by miniaturizing a magnet for driving in a spindle motor and improving its performance. SOLUTION: In a sectional drawing in the axial direction for a spindle motor using a samarium-iron-nitrogen bonded magnet as a drive magnet, a magnetic gap between a drive magnet 111 and a stator 128, including paint 112, is equal to 0.15 mm as in a conventional example, but the samarium-iron-nitrogen bonded magnet 111 that maintains the gap and is as thick as 1.03 mm with the paint 112 as thick as 10μm is used.
