PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grip conveying device for paper sheet and a paper sheet processing device which improve reliability by preventing a paper sheet from staying on a conveyance path. SOLUTION: Bundles of securities discharged from respective bundling devices are sent onto a conveyor 372 which extends horizontally carried by this conveyor 372 along the length to a stop position while a projection sensor performs breadthwise projection inspection. Two arms 418 and 420 which freely move are provided at right angles to the conveyor 372 and a bundle carried to the stop position is carried along the width while clamped by the two arms from both the side along the width. During the breadthwise conveyance, a line sensor 452 inspects the lengthwise projection of the bundle. After the bundle is passed form the conveyor to the arms, the conveyor is idled and a stop sensor 380 detects whether or not a security or bundle is staying on the conveyor.
