PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a picture, which is inadequate for panoramic synthesis and whose photographing conditions differ, from being photographed when the panoramic picture is photographed. SOLUTION: When an instruction for changing the setting of the image pickup conditions of a color temperature, exposure, exposure time, ISO sensitivity, a flash operation, the light modulation quantity of a flash, a measuring processing and a picture processing is given after a first picture in plural pictures which are associatively stored is image-picked up at the time of panoramic photographing, a system control circuit 50 starts the photographing operation and the storage operation of the newly associated plural pictures. Consequently, the picture inadequate for panoramic synthesis is prevented from being photographed at the time of combining the plural photographed pictures and generating the panoramic picture.
