According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed is a monitoring system comprising: a monitoring unit containing at least one searchlight; a controller which is connected to the monitoring unit in a wired or a wireless way, and controls operations of the monitoring unit; and a control unit which is connected to the controller in a wired or a wireless way, and receives information on monitoring, obtained by the monitoring unit, through the controller or transmits a signal for controlling operations of the controller to the controller. The monitoring unit comprises an image obtaining unit, an audio input and output unit, and a sensor unit. At least one searchlight, the image obtaining unit, the audio input and output unit, and the sensor unit are mutually connected and each of them is individually controlled by the controller.
