PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fogging, to increase the maximum density and to suppress a density change due to unevenness in developing conditions by specifying the average radius of spheres of influence range a range where a light-insensitive organic silver salt formed around a developing silver originated from a light- sensitive silver halide has disapparared when exposure is carried out with a specified light exposure and heat development is carried out by a drum developing system at a specified temperature for a specified time. SOLUTION: The heat-developable photosensitive material contains at least a nonphotosensitive organic silver salt and photosensitive silver halide and has 0.35-1.10μm average radius of spheres of the influence range when it is exposed with 35-50μJ/cm2 light exposure and heat-developed by a drum developing system at a temp. of 123±3 deg.C for 16±3 sec. The nonphotosensitive organic silver salt is a reducible silver salt and a salt of an organic acid containing a reducible silver ion source. The organic acid may be an aliphatic carboxylic acid, a carbocyclic carboxylic acid, a heterocyclic carboxylic or a heterocyclic compound, and a long chain aliphatic carboxylic acid or a heterocyclic carboxylicv acid having a nitrogen-containing heterocycle is preferably used.
