PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the total waiting time of an outpatient by finding the time of consultation reception for each doctor, calculating every consultation reception time corresponding to the number of patients capable of consultation within a consultation time zone and assigning the order at every time. SOLUTION: Concerning the outpatient estimated to be received within the consultation time zone for a whole hospital or each consultation department, average consultation time per patient is found on the basis of the consultation time zone in the past, the number of outpatients and the number of parallel consulting doctors in charge of consultation. This average consultation time is divided with the number of parallel consulting doctors, the time of consultation reception for each doctor is found, every consultation reception time corresponding to the number of patients capable of consultation within the consultation time zone is calculated and the order is assigned at every time. When an outpatient group 6 presses the telephone number dial of the consultation department in the hospital toward a service center 1, the messages of 'please press consultation ticket number and '#' in case of reexamination or please press '0' and '#'in the case of first consultation' and 'please come tomorrow by past Y minutes and X o'clock and this notice number is the number X' are answered. |
