PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation key whose thickness can be thinned. SOLUTION: In this operation key, a key main body 9 is fitted to a recessed part 11 by a machine screw 13 and a flat spring 14 so that it can freely rock. The arm parts 14a to 14d of the flat spring 14 uniformly energize the key main body 9 to a recessed part 11-side and the key main body 9 is in a neutral position in which the whole periphery of a lower edge part 10a is abutted on the base of the recessed part 11 and which is not inclined. When the depression position of an operation key 3, which corresponds to a hole 11a, is depressed, the key main body 9 rocks with the opening part 9d-side part of the lower edge part 10a of a through hole 10 as a fulcrum. A depression part 9a elastically deforms a click board 25 and short-circuits contact points 21 and 22. The arm part 14c of a sideboard opposite to the depression position across the machine screw 13 energizes the upper part of the depression part 9c of the key main body 9 to a recessed part 11-side and the arm part 14a energizes a cover member 15 in a direction detached from the recessed part 11. When a depression operation of the operation key 3 is stopped, the operation key 3 is speedily resorted to the neutral position by the multiple energization of the arm parts 14a and 14c.
