PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured serial-parallel signal conversion input/ output device capable of carrying out the control of various driven apparatus with a serial signal in a batch or of changing respective output signals of various sensors into serial signals to transmit them in a batch to a control system. SOLUTION: This device has: multiple input/output blocks 1 for inputting control signals to various apparatuses or transmitting output signals from the various apparatus through input/output connectors 11; a serial terminal 32 connected to a control system; and a junction block 3 provided with a signal converter for converting a serial signal transmitted to/from the control system through a multipolar connector jointed to the input/output blocks 1 into a parallel signal transmitted to/from the input/output blocks 1 through the same and vice versa.
