PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder that can record a latter broadcast program onto a recording medium without missing in the case of receiving and recording two broadcast programs continuously onto the recording medium by recording a video image block of another broadcast program received first through cancel lation of an instruction of no recording when the other broadcast program is selected while the no recording is instructed. SOLUTION: When copy control information indicates permission of recording, a propriety flag for the recording of a video block received successively and stored in a propriety flag storage section 7 is set to '0', and in the case that recording of an electronic watermark is inhibited, the propriety flag stored in the propriety flag storage section 7 in set to '1' not to record the video blocks successively received. An electronic watermark read section 8 detects timing when a new PID is outputted from a control microcomputer 3 to a transport decoder 4 and resets the propriety flag in the propriety flag storage section 7 to '0' that denotes recording possibility. Thus, another broadcast program can be recorded.
