PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in the discharge of fuel due to its viscosity and effectively prevent occurrence of an abnormal event even though fuel which has a viscosity change rate higher than that of gasoline is used. SOLUTION: A carburetor in which kerosene, light oil or the like having a temperature-dependent viscosity change rate which is higher than that of gasoline is atomized and is then mixed with air so as to produce an explosive mixture, is composed of a fuel passage 6 for leading fuel such as kerosene from a float chamber 1 into a venturi in a venturi tube 4, a plurality of fuel inflow ports, 8, 8a for leading kerosene or the like from the float chamber 1 into the lower end part of a fuel passage 6, a wax type shut-off valve 9 for opening the fuel inflow port 8A which is the lower one of the ports 8, 8A when the fuel such as kerosene is unheated, but for closing the same through thermal expansion when the fuel is heated, and a heater 12 for the fuel. With the provision of such viscous correction device, the temperature of kerosene is set to be constant so as to reduce variation in the discharge of the kerosene, etc., due to the viscosity thereof.
