PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently, stably manufacture by bending in the direction separating from a terminal contact an actuator having the extended and deformed shape at normal temperature at which a blade contact comes in contact with the terminal contact, to form in the contracted recovery shape at high temperature at which the blade contact is separated from the terminal contact. SOLUTION: An arm 60 of a switchblade E is bent by extension and deformation of a coil-like actuator F made of a shape memory alloy at normal temperature, and a moving contact 70 comes in contact with a terminal contact 40 to close a contact. At high temperature, the actuator F contracts from the deformation state to a recovery shape, the arm 60 is stretched, the moving contact 70 is separated from the terminal contact 40 to open the contact. The actuator F is returned to the extended, deformed state by cooling, and the moving contact 70 of the arm 60 comes in contact with the terminal contact 40 to close the contact. A temperature operating switch can efficiently, stably be manufactured with the minimum number of components, in very small size, at low cost.
