PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous and asynchronous peeling communication system for simultaneously realizing synchronous and asynchronous peeling communication with one personal computer, one terminal adapter, and one USB cable, and to provide a USB device driver. SOLUTION: In this synchronous and asynchronous peeling communication system, an ISDN terminal adapter 3 is connected through a USB cable 2 with a personal computer 1, and the personal computer 1 is constituted of a separation/multiplex driver 10 having a separation control part 101 and a multiplex control part 102 for operating the separation/multiplex of data, a USB client driver 11 for issuing a request to the USB host controller of the personal computer 1, a synchronous virtual port driver 12 for synchronous communication and a synchronous communication client 14 connected with the synchronous virtual port driver 12, and an asynchronous virtual port driver 13 for asynchronous communication and an asynchronous communication client 15 connected with the asynchronous virtual port driver 13.
