PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setup method capable of expressing density change in the case of being printed regardless of the characteristic of photosensitive material and environmental change, and a photographic processing device capable of executing this method. SOLUTION: An image is printed on the photosensitive material according to a conversion table between output data and input data made to correspond to a target density value stored in a storage means 18, and the tone expression or the maximum density value of the printed image is measured. When the specified tone expression is not performed or the maximum density value does not attain the target density value, the conversion table is rewritten so that the gradation expression can be performed.
