PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for preparing a multi-colors slide fastener are provided which have unit engaging elements on a supporting tapes to be attached/detached from each other by a fastener. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises: a number of unit engaging element grooves(101) formed with a length of a metal mold; the metal mold(100) having multiple ports(102) to introduce forming materials at the upper end of the mold in zigzag arrangement form and communicating the grooves(101) and ports(102) by guidance grooves(103). The apparatus has further a number of introducing heads(200) to provide the forming materials with various colors. The unit engaging elements(12) are formed in the grooves(101) by means of one shot process. The metal mold(100) has an upper mold(120) arranged by the ports(102) in a zigzag form and the heads(200) are also coupled in the zigzag form.
