A method for installing a gasket (10) between two pipe-flange halves (2), the pipe- flange halves (2) being designed to be brought together by means of bolts (8) extending through bolt holes (4) in the pipe-flange halves (2), the method comprising the steps: - arranging at least two installation bodies (14) between the pipe-flange halves (2); - attaching the installation bodies (14) to respective bolts (8), - letting the installation bodies (14) form a gasket stop (18) at a desired radial distance from a centre axis (6) of the pipe-flange halves (2); - inserting the gasket (10) between the pipe-flange halves (2) until it hits the installation bodies (14); and - clamping the gasket (10) between the pipe-flange halves (2) by means of the bolts (8). A system for use in practising the method is described as well. |
