PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level measuring device for a liquid container of relatively simple structure, having strength and safety endurable against vibration and impact, and capable of detecting surely a liquid level without generating operation trouble even in the case of a highly viscous liquid. SOLUTION: This device has a measuring cylindrical body 11 having a measuring window 12, a movable rod body 18 fitted into the cylindrical body 11 to be vertically diaplaceable, a supporting member 20 extended downwards from the rod body 18 adjacently thereto, a float arm 22 journaled to a lower end part of the supporting member 20, and a connecting member 26 connected to a lower end part of the rod body 18 and the float arm 22. A rocking displacement of the float arm 22 accompanied by variation of a liquid face inside a tank main body is converted into a vertical displacement of the rod body 18 via the member 26, and a position of the rod body 18 is recognized visually from the window 12 of the cylindrical body 11 to detect a liquid level.
