PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a high-accuracy and low-cost optical member. SOLUTION: In this formation method, a concave face is formed in a lead silica glass substrate 20 and a gold thin film is formed in the concave face, by dropping a drop 10a of a gold amalgam solution 10 dissolved with a metal onto the lead silica glass substrate 20 and removing mercury from the drop 10a concavely sunk on the lead silica glass substrate 20. The dropped drop 10a of the gold amalgam solution 10 has a high-accuracy spherical shape by a surface tension, so that the concave face formed on the lead silica glass substrate 20 has a high-accuracy hemispherical shape. Thereby, a high-accuracy SIM and optical head can be easily manufactured in large quantities to reduce costs. |
