The horse blanket (2) lies tightly against the horse's body in a cold environment. In a hot environment, the blanket is opened, wider at the front than at the rear, in the form of a funnel. Spacers (3) keep the blanket a few cm from the horse's hide. When the horse (1) runs, an air flow (4) passes through the blanket and along the horse's body. The funnel accelerates and swirls this flow, intensifying the cooling effect.
