A constant current bias is applied to the superconducting electromagnetic radiation source (16) to generate electromagnetic radiation, and the Josephson device (14) is biased at a constant current. Continuous spectrum information is obtained by moving the bias point sequentially based on whether electromagnetic radiation is present.
