Claw (3) arranged in the pulling shaft (2) of a crystal pulling device has a sliding ring (21) which moves on the shaft in the lowest position against a collar (22) of the shaft, and jaws (11, 12) each arranged around a tilting axis (17, 18) on the clamping ring (16) surrounding the throat (10) of the crystal block (9). The jaws each have a connecting rod (19, 20) for connecting to a sliding ring and the clamping ring is arranged to be height-adjustable independently of the sliding ring and the pulling shaft.
