Isoxazoline derivatives represented by general formula (I); and herbicides containing the same as the active ingredient, wherein Q is -S(O)n-(CR5R6)m- (wherein n is an integer of 0 to 2; m is an integer of 1 to 3; and R5 and R6 are each hydrogen, cyano, alkoxycarbonyl, alkyl, or the like); R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, optionally substituted phenyl, or the like; R3 and R4 are each hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, or the like; and Y is hydrogen, alkoxycarbony l, carboxyl, alkenyl, optionally substituted alkyl, or optionally substituted phenyl.
