The massaging device is fitted in the seat backrest (1). it is in the form of a flexible plate (2) with a drive device (6) which can rhythmically press the plate against the back of the person in the seat to produce a massaging effect. The drive can be moved up and down along the flexible plate. There may be two such plates with a gap between them.
