<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel butadiene-based polymer excellent in mechanical strengths, low heat generating properties and abrasion resistance and provide a method for producing the butadiene-based polymer. SOLUTION: This butadiene-based polymer consists of 20-100 wt.% of 1,3-butadiene monomer unit and 80-0 wt.% of other monomer unit capable of copolymerizing with 1,3-butadiene. In the copolymer, the ratio of the weight average molecular weight(Mw) over the number average molecular weight (Mn) (Mw/Mn) is 1.8-5, the Mooney viscosity (ML(1+4) at 100 deg.C) is 30-200 and the content of 1,4-cis bonds in the 1,3-butadiend monomer units is >=98.9 mole %. This production of the butadiene-based polymer is to use a novel catalyst containing a lanthanum series metal.</p> |
