PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet method for producing a molded article, by which the good molded article having a complicated uneven surface shape and free from the local irregularity of the density can be obtained, by using a slurry. SOLUTION: This method for producing a molded article comprises supplying a slurry into a mold having many small holes on the wall surfaces and removing water used as the medium of the slurry from the small holes to accumulate the small hole-non-passing fine components in the slurry on the inside of the mold. Therein, a slurry composition having a Canada standard freeness of >=550 ml is used as the slurry as the raw material, and a plurality of the same or different molds are used. Thus, two or more molded articles each having one or more >=10 mm-thick accumulated layer portions are formed and then joined to each other in a wet state or in a dry state.
