PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject food, a commodity of high added value derived from livestock products, useful from the viewpoint of global environmental protection, by collecting useful ingredients by an inexpensive means from waste liquids resulting from live stock processing activities and having been almost discarded so far and by bringing the ingredients to higher purity. SOLUTION: The subject material based on L-carnitine, histidine-related dipeptides (carnosine, anserine, balenine) and taurine each abundant in livestock meat is obtained by electrodialysis of waste liquids resulting from live stock processing activities and livestock meat extracts as concentrate of the above waste liquids in an acidic to neutral condition to effect concentration of both the waste liquids and livestock meat extracts. The other objective food having effects of physical strength enhancement/recovery from fatigue can be obtained by including the above material. Actions of L-carnitine, histidine-related dipeptides and taurine, each contained in livestock meat extracts, promote fat decomposition, maintain human biological functions normally, thereby affording effects of physical strength enhancement/recovery from fatigue. |
