PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for a Frensnel lens which enables molding of the lens so that the odd part of a molding material formed on the outer periph eral part by press molding, can be easily cut regardless of skill and a method for manufacturing the Fresnel lens using this mold. SOLUTION: A resin sheet is pressed by the mold 10 for a Frensnel lens 20 comprising a projecting part 12 with a higher elevation than the highest crest formed on the outer periphery of a resin 11 where a plurality of concentric circular crests are formed, and the resin sheet out of which the Fresnel lens 20 is formed by pressing is released from the mold 10. Further, the resin sheet obtained by the mold release procedure is cut at a recessed part 22 corresponding to the projecting part 12 of the mold 10 to obtain the Fresnel lens.
