PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar-like foodstuff package and a method of packaging bar-like foodstuffs, in which the package formed by butt-seaming a film sheet can easily be made openable from a joined portion. SOLUTION: Both edges 2a, 2b positioned in the tearing directions A, A' of a resin film sheet 2 having tear-directional properties are butt-seamed to form the resin film sheet 2 into a cylindrical shape. Then two cut lines 5, 5' extending in a direction orthogonal to a butt-seamed portion 4 are provided in parallel with each other in a joined portion 3 of a package formed into the cylindrical shape to form a tearing piece 6. Mouths 7, 7' at both upper and lower open ends of the package formed into the cylindrical shape and having the two cut lines provided in the joined portion are compressed from a peripheral direction to be bound, respectively. By applying the seals 8, 8' to the contracted mouths in the vicinity of both the ends of bar-like foodstuffs contained in the package, a bar-like foodstuff package 1 is obtained.
