PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacture so as to integrally form a driven roller of a sheet conveying roller, in the method of manufacture for the sheet conveying roller conveying a sheet of printing paper or the like after it is printed, an image forming device of a printer or the like. SOLUTION: This method has a roller shape padding process building up a main unit equivalent part of a roller from a blank by forging, tooth trough part thickness forming process forming a tooth equivalent part of the roller by forging in thickness shape of a trough equivalent part of a tooth, shaft hole draft process forming a shaft mounting shaft hole 23 by punching, tooth profile draft process forming a star tooth profile 24 by punching, tooth profile mountain part forming preliminary process crushing by forging a tooth tip and one side of its adjacent equivalent part formed in thickness of a part in the vicinity of a mountain part of a tooth profile, and a tooth tip part forming process crushing a tooth tip part from one surface side by forging to form a tooth tip 26.
