摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely enhance the earthquake resisting performance by bringing a buffer material, having a laminate structure of an elastic material and a tying material, into intimate contact with the periphery of a desired portion of an anchor bar, such that the external peripheral surface of the buffer material is arranged in intimate contact with the internal peripheral surface of a fitting portion. SOLUTION: A buffer material 4 is brought into intimate contact with the periphery of an anchor bar 3 at a portion which is fitted into a bridge pier 1, and the periphery of the buffer material 4 is brought into intimate contact with the internal peripheral surface of a fitting portion of the bridge pier 1. The buffer material 4 is of a laminate structure obtained by alternately laminating on each other an elastic body 5 such as rubber or a synthetic resin, and a tying material 6 formed of a woven fabric or a non-woven fabric containing fibers such as natural fibers, synthetic fibers, metallic fibers, or a mixture thereof. Therefore, it has high initial spring characteristic exhibited when a load is applied, and therefore it can absorb large energy only by small deformation. Thus, when impact energy is generated due to movement of a bridge girder at occurrence of an earthquake, the buffer material can ease the impact by fracture of the tying material and elasticity of the elastic material, whereby the earthquake resisting performance can be largely enhanced by the increased energy absorbing amount of the buffer material, etc.
