PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the decision which plate is misregistered, on the occasion when superposed printing is conducted by a plurality of separated printing plates. SOLUTION: A register mark T1 is reduced to register marks TC, TM, TY and TK as dashed lines different in patterns from one another for printing plates of colors C, M, Y and K. The marks TC, TM, TY and TK are formed into the shape of a letter T practically, by using broken lines different in positions of dashes for the printing plates of the colors C, M, Y and K, and are disposed at equal intervals respectively, and the dashed lines of the register marks TC, TM, TY and TK of all the printing plates of the colors C, M, Y and K are so disposed as to form a straight line, without overlapping each other, on the occasion when these printing plates are superposed normally. When each printing plate is positioned in an abnormal state on the occasion of superposed printing, not only the line of the register mark becomes thick, but also the pattern of the dashed line of the misregistered printing plate emerges. Therefore the decision on which printing plate slips off can be facilitated.
