PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the ink absorbency and the strength in an ink receiving layer compatible with a favorable balance by making an amorphous silica contained in the ink receiving layer, which is provided on a base material, a synthetic silica formed by a gelling method having a specified plurality of peaks in the molecular diameter distribution. SOLUTION: In this medium to be recorded having a base material, and an ink-receiving layer containing an amorphous silica, which is provided on the base material, the amorphous silica is made a synthetic silica formed by a gelling method having a first peak at the molecular diameter of 1.3 to 4 μm, and a second peak at the molecular diameter of 6 to 15 μm, in the molecular diameter distribution. Then, an image is formed on the ink-receiving layer 4a on the base material 4b. Then, after cutting the ink-receiving layer 4a, a member for a transparent film layer formation is laminated on the ink-receiving layer 4a from a material layer 5a side for the transparent film formation, and heat-pressed. Then, the base material 5b of the member is pulled and separated from the transparent film layer 5c, and an image printed article having the transparent film layer 5c is provided on the ink-receiving layer 4a. |
