PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase ink ejection by generating an electrostatic force between a fixed electrode and a movable electrode, driving a movable member through displacement of the movable electrode caused by the electrostatic force and controlling the ink flow thereby increasing the displacement of the movable electrode. SOLUTION: The gap between a fixed electrode 24C, 26C and a movable electrode 24D, 26D is filled with liquid having a large dielectric constant. When a driver 40, 42 varies the voltage being applied between the fixed electrode 24C, 26C and the movable electrode 24D, 26D, the movable electrode 24D, 26D moves in the longitudinal direction of comb teeth. A diaphragm 24B, 26B moves integrally to vary the area of an ink channel 20, 22. First and second inks having controlled flow rate are delivered as a continuous flow from an ink outlet where the first channel 20 joins the second channel 22 and applied continuously to a print sheet 12 facing the ink outlet in the proximity thereof. |
