PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rotating failure of a safety cover from occurring when a siding board, an iron plate or the like is cut. SOLUTION: The portable motor-driven circular sawing machine has a safety cover 29 fitted into a mounting part formed on the outer peripheral face of a gear box 25 which supports a saw blade 19 of the sawing machine so that the cover 29 shields the saw blade 19 and the saw blade 19 rotates. Iron rings 37, 37 with a collar are fitted to the cover 29 from both sides of a fitting hole 35 which serves as a rotating face. Further, a gap 39 worth a specified volume is formed between the rings 37, 37 with a collar.
