PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clean cast slab containing little non-metallic materials regardless of an inexpensive equipment cost. SOLUTION: In a tundish 1, a molten steel receiving part 5 and a molten steel supplying part 7, where the received molten steel is supplied into a mold 6, are connected with a flowing passage 8. In the bottom part of the molten steel receiving part, a position corresponding to the extending direction of the flowing passage is lower than the bottom part at both sides thereof, and the bottom part of the molten steel receiving part is directed upward from the lowest position toward the side wall of the molten steel receiving part. The molten steel is poured in between the side wall of the molten steel receiving part and a position corresponding to the extending direction of the flowing passage. Metallic oxide powdery material reduced by Al may be blown into the molten steel containing Al together with inert gas from a blowing hole disposed at least one position in the bottom part and the side wall part in the molten steel receiving part or a hole shaped flowing passage.
