PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having an weak odor even if it contains DDVP as the insecticidal composition by including an insecticidal ingredient, a solvent and a specified monohydric alcohol. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 0.1-50 wt.%, preferably, 2.0-15 wt.%, more preferably, 2.9-9.0 wt.% DDVP of organophosphorus insecticide or, if necessary, its mixture with other several insecticides, (B) 0.1-99.4 wt.%, preferably, 50-99.0 wt.%, more preferably, 70-98.5 wt.% solvent, preferably, petroleum solvent and (C) 0.1-50 wt.%, preferably, 0.2-15 wt.%, more referably, 0.2-9.0 wt.% 10-12C monohydric alcohol. The component B is preferably e.g. a 9-17C, more preferably, 11-15C hydrocarbon (mixture), and, especially, includes preferably <=0.5 wt.% aromatic carbon. As component C, n-(un)decanol, n-dodecanol and the like are preferable.
