PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unevenness in electrifying and to prolong the service life of a magnetic brush member by preventing local contamination of a magnetic brush 25 through efficiently circulating electrified carrier in a contact electrifying device of a magnetic brush method. SOLUTION: In a contact electrifying device 2 of the magnetic brush method provided with a magnetic brush carrier 21 carrying conductive magnetic particles 22 on its periphery surface constrained by magnetic force as the magnetic brush 25 and electrifying a surface of a body to be electrified 1 by having the magnetic brush 25 circulated and carried to a contact part 26 with the body to be electrified 1, an agitating member 28, consisting of a rotating body to agitate the conductive magnetic particles 22 is installed approximately above and in parallel with the magnetic brush carrying member 21.
