PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the heat conductivity of a gas and measure the mixing concentration of the gas through calculation of the thermal conductivity by setting a high temperature heating body in a container, in which the pressure of the gas is maintained constant, and measuring the temperature of the high temperature heating body. SOLUTION: A Pirani gauge 1 which is a kind of thermal conductivity vacuum gauge and a pressure gauge 2 are set in a container 3. A gas to be measured is introduced into the container 3 through a gas inlet port 8 and a solenoid valve 4. The gas in the container is discharged from a discharge port 7 via a solenoid valve 5 and a vacuum pump 6. A pressure in the container 3 is maintained to be a negative constant pressure. A means for measuring a mixing concentration of gases of known different thermal conductivities is used. A high temperature heating body is placed in the container having the gas pressure kept constant. The temperature of the high temperature heating body is measured and thermal conductivities of gases are calculated. At the same time, the thermal conductivities are calculated, thereby obtaining mixed concentration of gases as a function of the thermal conductivities. The temperature of the high temperature heating body during the work is set to be approximately 150-400 deg.C, preferably, approximately 200 deg.C.
