PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a stereoscopic video display device which is capable of panoramically displaying stereoscopic images on a large screen in spite of a smaller space and smaller size and enables an observer to make observation with a absorbance feel. SOLUTION: A pair of left and right projectors 4 and 5 are arranged right above a hemispherical screen 7. The respective left and right projectors 4 and 5 emit projecting beams L and R polarized in correspondence to the respective left and right polarization directions of polarizing spectacles 17 which are worn by the observer and are respectively horizontal and perpendicular, different in the polarization directions from each other to the observer side in front of the screen 7. A projection optical system 6 having a prism, an image forming lens and a convex mirror 12 is arranged in front of the projectors 4 and 5. The prism 13 synthesizes the projecting beams L and R which are emitted from a pair of the left and right projectors and vary in the polarization direction. The synthesized images are formed on the convex mirror 12 by the image forming lens and are reflected and projected toward the concave surface of the screen 7, by which the stereoscopic videos are displayed. |
