ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPING TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of black spots that cause image defects by incorporating specified aliphatic higher alcohol particles or a specified higher fatty acid having a specified number average number of carbon atoms as an additive. SOLUTION: This electrostatic latent image developing toner contains aliphatic higher alcohol particles of formula I having a number average number of carbon atoms of 21-29 and containing <=2 wt.% <=20C molecules and <=2 wt.% >=30C molecules or a higher fatty acid of formula II having a number average number of carbon atoms of 21-29 and containing <=2 wt.% <=20C molecules and <=2 wt.% >=30C molecules as an additive. In the formula I, (n) is an integer giving a mean value of 21-29. In the formula II, (m) is an integer which makes the mean value of (m+1) 21-29. Fixing on a photoreceptor due to inorganic fine particles added to the toner is prevented and the occurrence of black spots is suppressed.
