PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make formable a color image excellent in light resistance without causing color mixing by using a dye fixing element containing a dye mordant of a polymer containing specified repeating units. SOLUTION: The dye fixing element contains a dye mordant of a polymer containing repeating units of formula I and/or repeating units of formula II. In the formulae I and II, R12 and R22 are each H or an alkyl, Y1 and Y2 are each←CONR4-,←COO- or←CH(OH)CH2O-, X is Cl, Br, I or hydroxyl, Z is an atomic group required to form a 5-to 7-membered heterocycle together with N, R13 and R23 are each H, methyl, ethyl or halogen, R4 is H or a 1-4C alkyl and←shows a bonding radical on the principal chain side of the polymer.
