PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately generate IR rays or UV rays in an easy method by irradiating an object of the color of intrinsic IR rays or of the color of intrinsic UV rays with a hightsource to generate IR rays or UV rays. SOLUTION: To generate IR rays, the objective body 1 is colored into a magenta color 2. The objective body 1 is coated with a magenta color 2 and irradiated with light 3. Then only the waves of the magenta color, namely only the waves of IR rays 4, are reflected while other color waves are absorbed by the body. The reflected light is IR rays, and then the rays of >=1012 frequencies may be used. The intensity of the IR rays can be controlled by the density of the magenta color. That is, the higher intensity can be obtained with the lower frequency. Similarly, to obtain UV rays, the objective body 1 is colored into a magenta color 2. The body 1 is coated with a magenta color and irradiated with light 3. Thereby, only the waves of the magenta color, namely only the waves of UV rays 4, are reflected while other colors are absorbed by the body 1. The reflected light is UV rays, and rays having <=1015.5 frequencies may be used.
