PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrically conductive belt, which reduces the amount of a toner adhering to the belt, ensures satisfactory slidability with a cleaning blade and facilitates scraping of the toner by forming a surface layer, having a specified contact angle of water droplets and a specified coefficient of dynamic friction to urethane rubber and a made of resin having a siloxane bond on the surface of the substrate of a belt. SOLUTION: This electrically conductive belt 6 comprises at least two layers, and the surface layer comprises a high molecular polymer composition, having a siloxane bond, e.g. dimethylsiloxane such as silicone oil or a silane coupling agent. The contact angle of water droplets to the surface layer is 90 deg. as larger, the coefficient of dynamic friction of the surface layer to urethane rubber is 0.1 or smaller, and the volume resistivity of the surface layer is 100-1016Ω.cm. A resin having 80 deg. or smaller contact angle of water droplets, e.g. a polyester resin or a polycarbonate resin or the like is suitable for use as the material for the substrate of the belt on which the polymer composition layer is formed. |
