The device for locking containers together comprises a housing (2) containing a rotating shaft with upper (4) and lower (6) locking components. which fit into the corner fittings in upper or lower containers. The housing has a guide section (22) which when mounted fits into a longitudinal slot in the underside of the upper container. A lower guide section (24) has a length (L) which allows it to be slid along a slot in a fitting on the lower container to assist mounting the upper container and then slid until the lower locking section meets the corner fitting, when the shaft is turned to lock it.
