INTERNET PHONE GATEWAY SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An Internet phone gateway system is provided to save a communication charge at long-distance voice/facsimile communication by compressing and demodulating into voice/facsimile data of a packet format. CONSTITUTION: An Internet phone gateway system comprises an Internet connection part(20) which interlocks with an Internet call manipulating part(31) of a controller(30) and manipulates ethernet, IEEE 802.3 and address resolution protocols. The controller(30) has the Internet call manipulating part(31) and a control circuit part(32). The Internet call manipulating part(31) performs a program necessary for managing an Internet phone service to perform an Internet call manipulating function between an exchange and an Internet. The control circuit part(32) generates device control signals for controlling each device. A system connection part(40) has a PCM highway connection part(41) and a message connection part(42) and performs PCM highway and message bus connections of an exchange. A voice manipulating part(50) compresses PCM coded voice/facsimile data by a packet format or restores the data of the packet format into PCM data.
