PURPOSE: An electronic commerce system is provided to supply product informations supplemented with a linked shopping mall or a content site's product informations by linking a different shopping mall site's DB with an internet shopping mall or a content site's DB and to enable a user easily purchase a multiple number of products by ordering linked site's products with the visiting site's products. CONSTITUTION: An electronic commerce system is composed of request, selection, transmission, and order. A client connects to a server and transmits a product information request to the server. The server determines whether the requested product information exists on a linked shopping mall site. If the requested information exists on the linked site, the requested product information of a linked site is attached to the server's product information and transmitted to the client. The client selects a linked product and the selected product information, which is stored in an external server system, is transmitted to the client's computer and the client orders the linked product.
