DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING UPWARD BENDING OF FRONT END OF HOT STRIP

PURPOSE: A device and a method for correcting upward bending of the front end of a hot strip are provided to smoothly perform winding by correcting upward bending of the front end of a strip and to improve productivity by preventing stoppage of a machinery. CONSTITUTION: A bending correction deciding unit(110) decides a need of correction of strip bending according to the thickness of a strip by receiving data about thickness of a strip and diameter of a final roll. According to the number of pulses detected by a roll speed detector(20) and the detection of a strip detector(16), the rotational frequency of the roll from when he strip enters the final roll is counted by a rotational frequency output unit(130). Based on the rotational frequency of the roll and the diameter of the roll, the displaced distance of the strip discharged to a drive table is operated by a displaced distance output unit(120). The distance is compared by first and second bending correction spray drive units(140,150) to a reference distance to control first and second bending correction sprays(18,19). If the strip moves more than a distance predetermined corresponding to the distance between the final roll and a pinch roll, correction sprays are decided to stop by a drive completion deciding unit(160).
